  The Kindness of Strangers: Travel Tales and a bit more Why do I get overwhelmed by people's kindness almost as much as I get underwhelmed by how unkind people can be?   Stadium of Goals Witnesses Scenes Reminiscent of Manchester City (The Good Bits) Martinborough Ladies vs Douglas Villa Women Final Day Drama at the Stadium of Goals Douglas Villa's players must have wondered if they'd taken a wrong turn when they arrived at Martinborough Square. Marty Ladies had put up a welcoming banner proclaiming the "Stadium of Goals" at Constellation Park as the venue to witness Martinborough Ladies' season finale. One can only imagine their thoughts: "Goals? Plural? How presumptuous."   The intimidation started early. The capacity crowd—all twelve of them—had filled the terraces to bursting point, their voices carrying the confident refrain of "we're top of the league and “It’s just like watching Wrexham”.   This was technically accurate if one employed the sort of creative mathematics that sees Douglas Villa mysteriously vanish from the table entirely.
