Hahaha, I used to do it on a message board and my Dad identified me and told me off!!  I was told that if I was going to make comment I should have the 'balls' to take ownership.

I don't know, but I read 2 articles recently about drug taking in elite sport.  We know someone here who used to work for WADA in Montreal.  Anyway, in the Guardian, it told me that if a sports person wants to have a shower after a game, someone has to watch them to ensure they don't have a sneaky wee. I don't know which is worse.  Having a shower with someone watching me, or watching someone have a shower.  Then today I read that if you are up there in the elite, you need to be careful who you kiss and have intercourse with.  Some French tennis player did both in a nightclub and was tested +ve for cocaine.  He had to find his 'one night lay down' (I'm not sure why they are referred to as 'one night stands', when it is unlikely that they are) and get her to confess that she was a cocaine addict. Hello folks I hope you are all well, healthy and happy.  I hope you have all had a reasonable 2025 and that any bum bit were navigated in a successful way to get you through the other side in a decent way.  I hope 2026 will be a good one for you.   From our tree. Our new friend fezzi the fezzant, who has just arrived and taken up residence. Life in the slow(ish) lane The old codger still manages the occasional ParkRun! I slothed around one with mild disappointment a couple of weeks back. It was a beautiful course through the woods and around the lake—black swans and ducks with their heads down and bums to the sky, having a grand time. The disappointment was only because I'd set myself a target of under 30 minutes (such is my state of declining fitness and rapidly increasing years), and I came in at 30:18! The Flying Olives

I’ve been thinking of you as some of you plan to loll in the sun and head south to those lovely places where delicious olive oil originates from.  You’ll be basking in the warmth of the mediterranean blue skies as you dip your ciabatta or baguette into the oil, take a sip of white burgundy or a heavy rioja and think that life is starting to get ok again. Whilst you’ve been doing that I’ve been down the road at the our local olive grove, picking olives.  Only about 160 trees; it’s small and no wonder the stuff is so darned expensive.  We spent 2 days picking and still we didn’t pick them all, which is a shame. If you’ve ever wondered what those wide spaced combs are for in B & Q, as I did, well I can tell you.  With climate change B & Q are anticipating that olives are going to be the next mass crop in UK.  Strawberries are so passe.   These big wide spaced combs which in other places or circumstances would be ideal for combing one's dreads, if ...
